Introduction
Recently, I have wondered what the best gratitude practice is and how I can invoke more gratitude into my life. This is something that when I connect beyond the veil, they tell me that the answer is inside of me.
So what is the answer? How do we know the best way to practice gratitude? By understanding the true essence of gratitude, I found that the best gratitude practice finds its way to me. There are many types of gratitude practices. Highlighting the most common types of gratitude practices helps determine which aligns more with gratitude's true divine essence.
Join me on this journey of uncovering the true essence of gratitude, understanding different practices, and ultimately determining the best gratitude practice for the collective at the present moment.
Understanding Gratitude
By definition, gratitude is the state of being grateful. It is also thankfulness and appreciation; however, it's important to note that gratitude is a higher form of divine love on a deeper spiritual level. Gratitude is sometimes even considered a higher frequency than divine love. You may be wondering why that is, and it's because of free will.
We humans are beings of divine love, light, and life. Divine love is in our true nature. It comes effortlessly to us, especially in our youth. Unconditional love and acceptance of all are in our nature when we allow ourselves to flow with Source. Gratitude, however, is a choice we make to be grateful. This higher frequency is not in our spiritual makeup. We exercise our God-given right of free will when we choose to be grateful. When we choose to do something that positively affects our lives and those around us, we elevate the collective's energy.
This is because gratitude is an elevation of energy. It is an energy that can help amplify manifestations, attract more abundance, and help attract healthier, truly harmonious connections to our lives. It is a frequency that aligns with the divine because when we choose it, we choose to see things from the loving, accepting perspective that higher realms see things. We choose to see the good and attract the good when we are thankful.
Gratefulness can even elevate the energy of things that seem negative. What do I mean by that? Well, when you make the conscious effort to be grateful for even the bad things, you transmute that negative energy of the pain and trauma into something good. You do that by being grateful for the experience, taking the lessons from what happened, the lessons from the heartbreak, and sending love. When you express gratitude, you express love in its highest form of being. Therefore, when you are grateful for even the bad things, you send love energy out into the world and transmute all that negative stagnant energy from the pain into divine love.
It can be hard to be grateful when experiencing heartbreak, financial loss, debt, or many heavy things, but it's all about your mind. Gratitude helps you change your mindset from a lack mindset to an abundance mindset by being grateful for even the difficult things.
There is a reason this blog is coming from my heart song and my highest self and not channeled from any other higher being: the experience of being grateful for difficult things is so uniquely human. I know it's hard, but when you consciously try to find things to see that are beautiful and worth appreciation in your darkest times, that is how you turn on the light. That is how you pull yourself out of the Dark Night of the Soul and those difficulties. Gratitude is the spirit guide voice of divine love; when we choose it, it pulls out of the dark times.
Gratitude is something that, even if things aren't going your way if you choose to be grateful for whatever experience comes to you, your dreams have a higher probability of manifesting. When the universe sees that you can make the most of the most difficult times and appreciate the little things, it can trust you with big things. It knows you won't take advantage of the abundance it will give you. When you can cultivate that feeling of gratefulness and joy with limited resources, you show the universe that you are ready for the change that abundance brings.
The frequency of gratitude removes desperation. The universe isn't going to give you things because you are desperate for them, and I have learned that the hard way. When you are grateful for what you already have and let the universe know you will be grateful for whatever outcome transpires based on your wishes, there is a higher probability of manifesting your dreams.
Gratitude is a practice; gratefulness is a state of being, and that frequency can align us more with our highest self. I'll tell you a little secret: we exist in the nonphysical for longer than in the physical. We are incarnated to experience life; we are beings of life. We are beings of life here to experience all the ups and downs. We have this gift, this opportunity to live a physical life.
That means our highest self will find joy and things to be grateful for even when things seem miserable. When things seem impossible, your highest self will find hope because your soul is excited just to be experiencing life.
The ego will knock you down. It'll make you feel like you are doing everything wrong, but it's because we need to overcome that feeling. We must choose love, forgiveness, grace, and gratitude to overcome that feeling.
Types of Gratitude Practices
I have found the top five gratitude practices that resonate with the essence of gratitude. Here they are:
Journaling: There is no debate about this being the most popular and common gratitude practice. It is arguably the number one gratitude practice because it encourages you to reflect inwardly. When doing gratitude journaling, you can answer a series of prompts or do a reflection as you unwind in the evening and list five things that you are grateful for that occurred during your day. You challenge yourself and try to think of something new for which you are grateful daily. Gratitude journaling is the number one thing that comes through when I do channel and card readings for clients. That practice of a morning journal to reflect on the things you are grateful for that transpired in your life is so powerful for your experience on the spiritual journey. Now, it could be time to call the race and say that journaling is the best gratitude practice. However, different aspects of expressing gratitude can be equally, if not more powerful.
Gratitude Box: In my research, I discovered a one-of-a-kind gratitude practice that can encourage some hands-on action regarding gratitude. There are many different ways that you can do a gratitude box. You can fill it with things that remind you of gratefulness, you can fill it with memorabilia of things that you are grateful for, or you can write down every day on sticky notes that you find to be inspiring gratitude and place them inside inspiring gratitude and place them inside of the box. This is something that I wish I had found sooner because it is a way to exercise your creativity when designing your gratitude box. It's a way to prompt self-reflection because you want to ensure that what you're writing down regarding gratitude to put in this box is important to you. If you're going to put tokens and memorabilia, you want to choose what truly makes you feel the essence of gratitude. In a way, a gratitude box is a manifestation box where you can be thankful in advance for things you wish to manifest. Combined with things you are grateful for that have already happened, you create an energy of gratitude and abundance. You can even use the gratitude practice with Feng Shui and place the gratitude box in the room sector associated with wealth and prosperity (The left-hand corner of the room when standing in the doorway). It can promote healing while being grateful for the things you experience that caused you to go through the healing journey and giving physical representation to your healing experience. It is a great way to get your brain juices flowing and clear some weight on your brain by having a gratitude mindset. Lastly, it helps your heart by encouraging you to express love and compassion for yourself as you create a physical representation of gratitude in your life.
Gratitude Affirmations: Affirmations are probably the most impactful way to change your mindset because they force you to change that internal dialog within into something positive that can help elevate the world around you. Your words and your thoughts influence your reality. Your thoughts create your reality. Therefore, when you express affirmations of positivity, you change your reality. Gratitude affirmations can help you change your mindset into a grateful one so that you can face something difficult in the present moment. You can look at it through the lens of gratitude and be grateful for the experience. I know from personal experience that it can help you solve problems and almost bring peace to that difficult experience. Gratitude affirmations are also great to repeat if you feel nervous or uncertain. Just by reaffirming your gratitude for the good things in your life, you clear your mind of the woes and focus on what is meant for you. Gratitude affirmation practice encourages you to find what affirmations resonate with you and find the best way to do gratitude affirmations that align with you. It's not a practice where you must sit down and reflect on your past, take action, or focus on manifesting for the future. You're just saying affirmations. You're just taking some time to quiet the mind and affirm gratitude in your life. and isn't just saying I'm thankful; it's also affirmations to help you step into the frequency of gratitude
Gratitude Mediation: If gratitude affirmations aren't for you because they still require thinking about what affirmations you wish to say, then this gratitude practice might be better for you. It might ultimately be more of a one-size-fits-all gratitude practice. This is because a simple five-minute gratitude meditation to align you with the frequency of gratitude, allowing you to empty your mind and clear your heart, is a great way to align with the frequency of gratitude. Also, gratitude meditations often include gratitude affirmations and self-reflection within them. It's an opportunity for you to quiet the mind and allow the frequency to flow and wash over you
Gratitude Walk: Some people don't get distracted easily, and if you are one of those people, you might find that sitting doing a meditation doesn't feel as impactful for aligning to the frequency of gratitude. Some people like to get involved in implementing a frequency into their lives, so I chose the gratitude walk as the 5th gratitude practice. After researching more about it, I realized that that's something that I do a lot and that I would love to do more. A gratitude walk is like a walking meditation. It encourages you to be in the present moment, and present-moment awareness is a key component of the natural essence of gratitude. When expressing gratitude, even being grateful for things that have happened in the past, you are doing it in the present moment. You are choosing to allow the frequency of gratitude to guide you now. A gratitude walk is walking in nature and being grateful for the little things, for the simple things like the birds chirping, the trees, and the breeze. It's also an opportunity to reflect as you walk and allow your brain to go through the process. If journaling doesn't work for you, processing it mentally and releasing it through deep breaths in fresh air might help you more. It can be difficult if you are a restless person to sit and do journaling, sit into a meditation, sit into affirmations, and even do a gratitude box. A gratitude walk is a simple and easy way to get some action, get your body flowing, and practice gratitude. It is the perfect time to practice using your thinking time wisely by first being grateful for the things around you. Then, reflecting on things that have happened and being grateful. Maybe your reflection could be inspired by what you see on the walk.
The Best Practice for Gratitude
Those were the top five gratitude practices I have found based on research and practice, so what is the best one? The best one is a combination of all those things. The best way to connect with the essence of gratitude is to have a daily gratitude practice. Therefore, the best gratitude practice is creating a daily routine for gratitude. Carve out thirty minutes of your day for gratitude like you would carve out thirty minutes to exercise or scroll through TikTok. In a way, if you are instead carving out 30 minutes out of your day to get in some exercise, get in some meditation, and get in some gratitude, you start realigning yourself with your highest self when you focus your energy on aligning yourself with higher frequencies while in the physical, you are honoring your highest self and your soul.
I went on the hunt to find the best gratitude practice because I wanted to elevate my relationship with my highest self. I know the power of gratitude and its ability to help us cultivate a stronger relationship with our highest self. Also, the frequency of gratitude brings us closer to our spirit guides, guardian angels, the Divine, God, and Mother Earth. It brings us closer to everything in the higher realms because it is a higher frequency. Practicing gratitude helps you release a lot of pain, and I've experienced a lot of pain this past year of my life but also a lot of joy, and when I took some time to be grateful for the experiences that may have brought me pain, I realized it made me happier.
There's something so beautiful about releasing trapped emotions, and there's something so beautiful about being grateful for something that causes you to have that moment of release. The best gratitude practice is a 30-minute daily practice in whatever way works for you. You might not genuinely have the time to take thirty minutes to practice daily gratitude, but you can express gratitude to those around you daily.
If this is the case, then that means that the best practice is expressing gratitude daily. It's every day being grateful for everything around you. So, the best gratitude practice could be showing up to work and expressing gratitude to those around you. It can be being thankful when you eat, sleep, drink water, and
For me, who currently doesn't interact with as many people as I did a few months ago, taking thirty minutes out of my day to practice gratitude is the best gratitude practice. However, if you are constantly surrounded by people, then expressing gratitude to those around you is a great way to align with the essence of gratitude and the best gratitude practice.
As long as you cultivate gratitude daily, you embrace the best practice.
